DIY: Peacock Feather Fan

Hello everyone! I have another fun DIY for you from Dynamite Editorials June photo shoot. This one is a simple Peacock feather fan. You can find feathered fans on Etsy and Amazon that get pretty pricey, but forget that when you can make your own with any type of feather in any color you want. Here’s what you will need.

Supplies:

Paper Fan

Peacock Feather or any kind you want to use.

Craft Paint

E6000 or Hot Glue

First we start with the fan. If you didn’t get a paper fan in a color you like or couldn’t find the right color, don’t worry you can paint it with craft paint. I added a few drops of water an mixed it in to make thin out the paint so it would be more like a tint on top of the paper. Paint one side let it dry and then repeat on the other side.

After the paint dries, it’s time to place the feathers how you’d like. Be sure to cut them to the right lengths.

Glue the feathers down with E6000 or Hot Glue. If you use the Hot Glue be very careful. After gluing the feathers down you can add any type of embellishment. I choose a broach I had laying around the house.

Let the glue dry and you are all set!

Have fun creating!
