Skill: Beginner

Time: 1+ Hrs

Supplies:

Super Fine Cane Sugar (also called Caster or Baking Sugar)

Bubble Gum Flavoring

Liquid Food Coloring

Coconut Oil

Vitamin E Oil

Cosmetic Storage Containers

Small Bowl for Mixing

Small Spoon or Popsicle Stick

Before you start you will need to melt the coconut oil by heating it up for a few seconds in the microwave. You can make as much as you want with this DIY but I started of with a 1/4 cup of sugar. Then add the coconut oil a little at a time till you get a paste-like consistency, but not runny.

Add a drop of flavoring or as much as you like, I did about 4 drops and it was really strong. Also add a few drops of Vitamin E oil and a drop of color; Mix well.  I couldn’t find pink coloring at the time so I just used 1 drop of red to make a very nice pink.

After everything is mixed, store in your container. Any container will do as long as it’s airtight and waterproof. Don’t forget to label with the date and flavor. Shelf life is a year.

How to use the scrub – Lick your lips then apply a little to your lips and lightly rub in. Then rinse off and apply lip balm. You can do this everyday as a step before you add your lipstick and it will glide on super smooth.
